ABOUT US
Lighthouse Academy is an Approved Category IV School by the Tennessee State Department of Education, which meets the standards defined by T.C.A. 49-50-801, Church-related schools. Tennessee Code 1-3-118 – Recognition of high school diplomas from church-related schools and home schools. (a) Notwithstanding any rule, regulation or other law to the contrary, a high school diploma awarded by a school as defined by § 49-50-801 or § 49-6-3050 in recognition of completion of secondary educational requirements shall be considered by all departments, agencies, commissions or other such entities of state and local government as having all the rights and privileges of a high school diploma awarded by a public school system.
Lighthouse Academy is a Church-related school under the authority of Lighthouse Fellowship Church which is located at the same location as Lighthouse Academy.We are a family run home school program, we provide all of the work material and keep all of the records for the parents and children.
Lighthouse Academy was founded by Rev. Leon W. Keith in 1982.
Rev. Leon Keith is the pastor of Lighthouse Fellowship Church.
The material we use is the ACE (Accelerated Christian Education) material it is based on the King James Bible. The ACE work curriculum is recognized by the Tennessee Department of Education.
Our hours during the months of August - May are 9:00am - 1:30pm Monday - Friday. We are closed Saturday and we have Sunday church services at 10:30am.
During the month's of June and July our hours are 9am-12pm Monday and Friday.
Closed Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, church services on Sunday at 10:30am.
We are closed on all holidays.
